Spider silks glistening
draw us in we touch it
fighting snared regrets

bleed us dry poison us
spinning us round tightly
trapped in our own mind

Many years ago I saw a spider's web hanging just outside my bay window that overlooked the gardens. It was fall. I had a red maple. In that web, on the last strand of "spider's silk" :>) there was a remnant of a red leaf. It was exactly heart-shaped. I showed it to everybody who came by.

Yes! Your words are poetic. I must find the poem I wrote about that ... and send it to you. It is somewhere. http://shandarrah.com/Voices%20Within/

Hi Barbara,

I am glad that you found me.

I have been following your work too over at your blog for awhile now.

Enjoy your time at the lake. Being with water is so cleansing for the spirit too.
